"The Internet today provides new methods of communication between listeners and artists. Despite its low speed, it enables the discovery of music and the marketing of CDs whilst bypassing the traditionnal industry strucutres of radio and CD shops.
Within five years, many artists and listeners will have broadband links to the global network-links designed to support the high data rates required by digital video. Since music typically requires a tenth rate of video, it will be possible de sell music over the network, eliminating the need to press and distribute conpact discs. "
